BREAK THE SHACKLES!

We all have things trying to hold us back. It can be fear, addictions, bad things people have said that hurt our self-esteem and keep us from believing in who God say we are, a threat to life or disappointment that has kept us in shackles. The Scripture says, “So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.” (Galatians 5:1)

Often, this kind of life is an error. It’s an error you are putting to play. You keep getting limited by the past. Perhaps you may be dealing with challenges, your child is off course, or your finances are lacking in some way. You would like to make better progress but these forces seem to be dragging you backwards.

One reason Jesus came, died, and resurrected was so we might be free, not only partially free, not primarily free. The scripture says you will be absolutely free; this means there is no doubt. You are not faking it or pretending; rather, you are normal. You are complete. Your kids are God fearing and you are living a successful life all around! “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed” John 8:36

Yes, there will be challenges and periods when you feel confined and nothing looks better. But you have to maintain this in your spirit: these confinements are not permanent. Your story will not end that way. Living in lack, low self-esteem, and uncontrolled anger; these powers may be excessive for you but not for our God.

Sometimes you hear some believers say “Nothing is different, despite our prayers and faith; we have done all we could”. It is easy to feel disheartened or think there is nothing more we can do about the situation, but that’s when the Most High will step in and do what you could not do. He is the shackles breaker that can break any bondages and bring you out from the confinement the enemy has put you in.

The scriptures say in Acts 2:24 “But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power”. God raised Jesus up, having dismantled the shackles of death; He couldn’t be held by it. You belong to Christ, you need to have that attitude: it’s not possible that these shackles can hold me. The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives inside you. (Romans 8:11)

You have to be free on the inside before you will be free on the outside. Victory starts in our thinking. As long as you always think that you are stuck in whatever challenges are confronting you, things may never change. Telling yourself; I’m really down and at a disadvantage. I constantly have this issue; you will remain there without a way out.

Give God something to work with. Rather than grumbling about what is slowing you down, turn around to the Lord and tell Him that, I want to thank You for You are a shackles breaker. Every force keeping me back is being broken, hence I will live and not die. I am free from this addiction. My kids are strong in the land.

You committed too many errors. You are far too far. Those are shackles meant to restrict your faith, but no one can stop you. Your path is not defined by what others say; you may be too ill but God is with you, God has equipped you; created you in His own image; planned your days for good; and breathed life into you. He empowered you; He crowned you with His grace.

Break free right now from those shackles of other people’s actions over you or from that disappointment. Their only power over you is the power you choose to bestow upon them. Should you believe what they said, then it could turn into reality. Why not disregard that and trust what God says about you?

You were told, you are not attractive, refuse to be held back by any such statement! I am a masterpiece; I am fearfully and wonderfully made. You are not naturally gifted; you will never be successful. I can do everything through Christ; I am the head and not the tail. You made too many errors; you don’t deserve to be blessed. I am pardoned, I am redeemed, I am worthwhile. That is how you break out from shackles holding you back!

JESUS THE SHACKLES BREAKER

At the end of a long day, Jesus told His disciples, Let us cross to the other side of the lake. They wanted to sleep; they were exhausted. Jesus, however, had a plan they knew nothing about… The tombs where a certain man dwelt were on the far side of the lake. You recollect the big storm as they were sailing that evening. They ran over to wake Jesus up. We are about to die! Jesus stood up, rebuked the storm and it calmed down. (Matthew 8:23-27)

When they got to the shore in a few hours, it was a remarkable experience for everyone present. Jesus stepped off the boat, and this man came cutting himself with stones. He dropped at Jesus’. The Bible records Jesus saying to the unclean spirit, Come out of him! In the unseen world, shackles were broken, chains were torn and forces of darkness departed him. (Matthew 8:28-34)

He got instant healing. They saw the man sitting, completely clothed, absolutely sane, in his right mind. Consider the goodness of God! He had been deranged for years. The shackle breaker arrived next and He was free. He went back to his family.  His parents never believed they would witness this day… God is fighting for us when we cannot fight for ourselves.

He will shatter chains restricting you that you could not break on your own. It will happen. Sooner rather than later, things that have kept you down, taken your joy, and caused you heartache. Your time is coming; it’s going to be strange, unprecedented, something you cannot describe. So shall it be. Immediately after setting the man free, Jesus returned to Galilee.

In other words, Jesus crossed the lake all night and faced a storm merely to reach this man who could not get free by herself. God knows when it’s too much; He will not abandon you helpless. You have worked hard, but it appears you still struggle with the challenges, the resentment, the opposition… God is crossing the lake right now. He hears your shouts. He senses the suffering and the unfairness.

Furthermore, God is going to shatter shackles you couldn’t come out from. It’s not that you didn’t have enough faith or didn’t work hard enough or made too many errors. No, some shackles, only God can shatter. Other times, He will empower you to do it. When you cannot, though, don’t give up hope. The shackles breaker is approaching.

Jesus will spend all night paddling a lake to reach this one man, He will do what He has to do to get to you. Will not leave you lonely, broken, or addicted. Peace is on the way. Freedom is coming. Joy is on the way. Health is on its way. You are breaking from any shackles that have confined you before now in Jesus’ name.

As believers in Christ, we were cut from God; we could not free ourselves from our sin. We had no means of redemption or restoration. Jesus travelled to a cross rather than across a lake. He gave His life for me and for you. Nobody forced it from Him; He laid it down. Love kept Him there on the cross; the nails did not bind Him on the cross. Yes, love did!

He went to the grave, did not stay there but came out alive with all power in His hand; He paid the price for our sins. He vanquished the enemy once and for all. God saved us just as He pulled this man out. Now we can live victorious, whole, and free. Reclaim your enthusiasm. You are more powerful than you believe. Inside of you is the Spirit of the Most High God. Break those links to what others have said about you. You are not who they claim you to be.

They don’t determine your future. Well, pastor, I have attempted to accomplish this in the past and was unsuccessful. Let today mark a new beginning. You are entering shackles-breaking anointing. You will feel God’s release from what was holding you back, a supernatural power to do what you could not do before.

Right now, shackles of addiction are being broken. Shackles of accusations are being broken, shackles of insecurity and shackles of generational constraints, family baggage; shackles of defeat, mediocrity, and lack are being broken. I proclaim liberty, wholeness, abundance, and the fullness of your destiny, in Jesus’ name.

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
