LIVING THE TESTIMONIES!

Every single morning, millions of us wake up to face life issues and relentless battles. We battle challenges such as health issues, financial issues, and the suffocating weight of anxiety. We look at all these issues and wonder if the promises of God actually hold any weight in today’s world. The scripture says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He (the God) who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23

Irrespective of what the world throws at you, your job is to hold fast God’s word... And God’s job is to be faithful. He hasn’t failed at His job yet. He has always kept to His promise. The epic miracles in the Scriptures prove that God keeps to His promises: the parting of the Red Sea, the falling walls of Jericho, and the raising of Lazarus from the dead!

The beautiful truth is that Jesus Christ is not a historical figure trapped in old books. He is alive and active right now. He is still writing breathtaking stories of recovery in the lives of ordinary and messy people all around the world. When we talk about victory in Christ, we are not discussing an abstract theological theory. This is not a psychological coping mechanism to get us through a tough season. We are talking about a living, breathing and everyday reality.

Our assignment on earth is to enforce the triumph of the cross in our everyday realities. This shifts our entire perspective. We no longer pray out of panic. We pray from a place of absolute authority. We do not look at our mountains and tremble. We speak to our mountains based on the power of the One who stands above them. This is the heart of a truly motivated spiritual life. As the Apostle Paul reminds us, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37)

This brings a deep, unshakeable confidence. No matter how dark your night gets, the dawn has already been guaranteed by the blood of the Lamb. Consider what happens when a human life completely surrenders to this truth. Let me tell you about William. His life was utterly shattered by addiction and hopelessness. For nearly fifteen years, William was trapped in a vicious cycle of severe substance abuse.

William lost his career, his home and his family. He slept on cold park benches. His body was deteriorating. His mind was constantly tormented by voices of condemnation. They told him he was completely worthless and better off dead. He went through seven different rehabilitation programmes. Every single one ended in a more violent, discouraging relapse than the last. Clinically, his brain chemistry was deemed permanently altered. Socially, he was written off as a lost cause.

One freezing Tuesday night, William was huddled under a thin, torn blanket. He finally reached his absolute end. He did not have a fancy, theological prayer to offer. He simply cried out from the very depths of his fractured soul, “Jesus, if You are real, save me. I cannot breathe anymore.” What happened next defies human explanation.

William felt an overwhelming wave of warmth and pure peace. It flooded his entire body, starting from the crown of his head down to his feet. For the first time in fifteen years, the violent tremours in his hands completely stopped. The agonising and physical cravings vanished in a single moment. Those cravings had ruled his existence for over a decade.

When the sun rose the next morning, he woke up completely sober. His mind was as clear as crystal. He walked away from that park bench and never looked back. Today, William is a licensed counsellor and a restored husband. He is a father who runs a thriving ministry helping hundreds of others find freedom from addiction. Medical professionals later reviewed his case, and they called his instantaneous deliverance a medical impossibility.

However, in the Kingdom of God, this is normal. It is simply what happens when human helplessness collides with the resurrection power of Jesus Christ. William is a living fulfilment of the promise: “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed” (John 8:36). He is not just telling a story. He is living the testimony. Every breath he takes proves that Christ still breaks chains.

The Surgeon said: ‘The tumour is completely gone.’

In the case of Joyce, a young mother who found herself facing an absolute nightmare. During a routine medical check-up, doctors discovered an aggressive, advanced-stage tumour. It was wrapped tightly around her spinal cord. They gave her less than six months to live. The doctors warned that even if she survived a risky surgery, she faced permanent paralysis from the waist down. Yet, Joyce anchors her soul in the Word of God. She spent her nights calling God ‘Healer’, ‘Provider’, and ‘Protector’.

The day of the major surgery arrived. Her church gathered in a continuous chain of prayer. They anchored their faith to the truth of the Scripture: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). The surgical team prepared for a gruelling, twelve-hour procedure. They needed to attempt to remove the massive tumour.

Two hours into the operation, the chief surgeon emerged into the waiting room. His face was pale and visibly shaken. Joyce’s husband braced himself for the absolute worst news. But the surgeon stammered, “I have never seen anything like this in my entire career. ” We opened her up and scanned the area, and the tumour is completely gone. There is nothing to cut out. Her spine is perfectly clean.”

The tumour had completely dissolved. Joyce walked out of that hospital on her own two feet just three days later. Today, her medical charts stand as an undeniable testament to the supernatural. When we choose to trust Christ in any challenging situation, we give Him room to move. We let Him do what only He can do. He turns a death sentence into a monument of His mercy.

This is the beautifully infectious nature of a highly motivated faith. You see someone else walk through a raging fire. They come out without even the smell of smoke. When you witness that, something shifts violently inside your own spirit. You begin to realise a powerful truth. If He did it for them, He can absolutely do it for you. Testimonies are inherently prophetic. They carry the spiritual momentum of past victories into our present battles.

The Bible says we overcome the enemy “by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of our testimony” (Revelation 12:11). To live the testimonies means to become a walking billboard of God’s faithfulness. We show it to a sceptical world. We do not hide our past challenges. Instead, we leverage them to give others hope. We do not pretend we never had challenging tears. We show people the God who wiped those tears away. He is the One who put a new song in our mouths.

The world is tired of empty philosophies and dry religious rituals. People are desperately searching for something real. They want something powerful enough to change their messy and painful realities. They want to see a life that has been radically transformed by Jesus Christ. When that happens, all arguments cease. A transformed life is an unanswerable argument against doubt and unbelief.

Let this truth set your soul on fire today. You were not created to live a life of perpetual defeat. You were not meant to merely survive from one crisis to the next. You were engineered for victory. You were bought with a price, filled with the Holy Spirit, and positioned for triumph. The challenges you are facing right now are not the end of your story. They are simply the backdrop for your next mind-blowing testimony. Do not look at the size of your giant. Look at the size of your God. Stand firm in the finished work of Christ.

Remember that “greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Keep praising Him in the middle of the hallway until He opens the next door. Walk out your faith with radical courage and deep spiritual intimacy. As you do, I decree and declare that you will move from merely hearing about miracles to actually living them. You will experience the testimonies of Jesus Christ every single day in Jesus’ name

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you peace.
