It’s easy to accept any negative situation that we have lived with for years or an issue that has been in our family line for generations. Thinking that’s our fate in life, but God didn’t create you to live in lack, bound or distress. That may be the way it has been, but that’s not the way it’s going to stay. The scripture says, It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1
God has already ordained this day for a deliverance, a day where He delivers you from what is holding you back, a day where He breaks chains, frees you from the sickness, delivers you from oppression, stops the family challenge that was passed down to you and brings you to the fullness of your destiny.
It may look like the situation you are battling with will remain permanent, even though you will sometimes tell yourself, “You will always struggle with that sickness. You will always be addicted. You will always be broke, depressed or angry”. You will remain single or never give birth. No, get ready, deliverance is coming: deliverance from sickness and any chronic pain in your body.
I am also talking about deliverance from poverty and lack. Deliverance from depression and anxiety. Deliverance from loneliness, unfulfilled relationships. Deliverance from generational dysfunction. Those forces are being broken right now. You are being delivered into wholeness and abundance. It’s a new day, chains are breaking, walls are coming down. Your time for deliverance has come.
In Luke chapter 13, Jesus was in a synagogue teaching, and he saw a lady who had been sick for 18 years. She was bent over and not able to stand up. I’m sure after that long time of being in that condition she thought it was permanent. That day happened to be the sabbath, they weren’t supposed to do any work on that day.
The religious leaders were standing there watching Jesus to see what he would do. He said to them (Luke 13:16), “Should not this woman, whom Satan has bound, be loosed from this sickness”? He said the enemy has bound this woman, the enemy has put something on her that is restricting her, and keeping her from enjoying her life.
You need to see sickness and anything that is limiting you as not welcome, it’s on foreign territory. Your body is a temple of the Most High God. Jesus went over, said to her (Luke 13:12), “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity”. Instantly she was healed. She stood up straight for the first time in 18 years. That is what happens when God deliver you from what the enemy put on you: healing comes, freedom comes and victory comes.
There may be things that have held you bound: a sickness, an addiction, a problem at work that won’t seem to go away. You have tried to get free, but nothing has helped. God is saying to you what he said to this woman: you are loosed from what’s hindering you.
This is your day of deliverance. That sickness is not permanent, you are loose from that health challenge. Depression is not how your story ends, you are loose from that depression. You are loose from the addiction, loose from low self-esteem, loose from the family’s turmoil. This is a new day and God is doing a new thing in your life and your family. (Isaiah 43:19)
Now, receive the deliverance. You may not feel any different, you may not see anything change yet, but you have to walk by faith and not by sight. “Father, thank you that I am healed. Thank you that I am free. Thank you for my child making the right decisions. Thank you for my expectations are coming to pass. Lord, I believe that every bondage has been taken off of me”.
What is significant is that it wasn’t up to the woman to get free from what had her bound, she had tried for 18 years. In her own strength, her own efforts she wasn’t able to, but God has these moments where he says “Enough is enough, I’m going to free you from what’s hindering you”. I am going to meet you at the point of your needs and deliver you from anything holding you back from your desired results.
I believe today is your day of deliverance. You are going to see things begin to improve. What has been a struggle in the past is not going to be a struggle anymore. You are being loose from lack, “Can’t seem to go forward”, “Take one step forward and two steps backwards”, that spirit of “Not enough” following you around, today that bondage is broken, you are going to lend and not borrow.
What you touch will prosper and succeed. Goodness, mercy, prosperity and favour are going to find you. You will be the head and not the tail. How will this happen? In your own power? No, God stepped in and said, “You are delivered from that bondage”. Every good thing that was far from you is now following you wherever you go.
FREEDOM IN JESUS’ NAME
Sometime ago, I met a teacher very sick in one of the villages in Ghana, West Africa. The sickness was so serious that He could not even sit down or stand up when I arrived with a team. His boss, the headteacher of the school told us that he had been lying down for days. You could see the herbal medicine rubbed all over his body. However, the teacher never got better.
According to the headteacher, there was no health centre in the community and there was no money to send him to another community where there was a health centre. To cut the story short, I prayed for the teacher and was led by the Holy Spirit to help him up, as the team joined in the prayer. At a point during the prayer, he rested his head on my shoulder as I rounded up the prayer and we left.
Later that day, the head teacher came to where my team and I lodge, telling us that the same teacher we prayed for had fetched water by himself and gone to take his bath. This is what God can do. His deliverance can bring us out from a situation that has kept us in pain, stagnation, sickness, lack or a negative family bloodline pattern.
Jesus came to take off what the enemy put on you. He came to free you from what binds you, to loosen you from what restricts you. Everything that’s limiting you has no right to stay, you are God’s property. Today is your day of deliverance. Something you couldn’t make happen, God is making it happen.
In the scripture, three Hebrew teenagers refused to bow down to the king’s golden idol. The King was so upset that he had their hands and feet bound with cords. Then they threw them into a fiery furnace. It was so hot to the extent that the guards who put them in, were all killed by the heat. (Daniel 3:23-25)
It seemed like an impossible situation, teenagers were bound, with no way to get loose naturally, and this would certainly end their lives. However, in that furnace, the fire didn’t burn their bodies or clothes but burned the cords that had them bound. God was showing us that there is no bondage the enemy puts on you that He can’t break. There is no addiction, no depression, no sickness that He can’t free you from.
Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18-19)
That’s what I’m doing today: I’m enforcing your freedom, I’m enforcing your victory’ I am reminding you that your time for deliverance has come. I’m sure back in those days when they heard Jesus, some people thought, “This isn’t for me. They missed out on what God had in store for them. Don’t do like them. You have to get into an agreement with God, “God, I receive my deliverance today. What has fought against me in the past will hinder me no more”.
You are stepping into a new day of freedom, blessing and victory: receive it by faith! Matthew 18:18 says, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven. Whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven”. The amplified version gives it more clarity. It says, Whatever you bind on earth is already bound in heaven and whatever you loose is already loose. We can lose freedom and lose victory. I want to do that with you, will you agree with me?
I bind depression, discouragement, hopelessness – I lose joy, happiness, contentment. I bind sickness, cancer, heart trouble, diabetes, inflammation, chronic pain – I lose healing, vitality, strength, and a long life. I bind lack, poverty, not enough, can’t get ahead – I lose abundance, goodness, opportunity, overflow. I bind generational curses, limitations that were passed down, and hereditary baggage.
I lose generational blessings, I lose new standards for your family. I bind forces that are trying to get our children off course, bad influences, poor judgment, identity confusion – I lose purpose, destiny, good friends, clear direction. I bind addictions, bad habits, alcoholism, drug abuse – I lose freedom, wholeness and victory. I bind insecurity, low self-esteem, unworthiness – I lose boldness, confidence, value.
By this agreement and confession, I decree and declare that your day of deliverance has come. Bondages have been broken, health challenges broken, restrictions removed, you will rise higher, accomplish dreams and reach the fullness of your destiny, in Jesus’ name!
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you peace.
