ARISE, SHINE; FOR YOUR LIGHT HAS COME!

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the Lord will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. Isaiah 60:1-2

Behold! Rise and shine, for your light has come! The glory of the Lord is shining upon you. In a world filled with darkness and despair, the Lord will rise above it all and His light will be evident in your life.

God never created you to be defeated but to be an overcomer. He put something in your spirit called bouncing back, when you get knocked down, you don’t stay there but you bounce back. It gives you strength you don’t have, making you rise from any fall. “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me. Micah 7:8

I am not saying you should deny the obstacles or challenges you are going through but tell yourself, the Lord will arise over you, His glory will be seen upon you and you will not remain there forever.

You will see God’s goodness, your latter days will be better than your former days. God has not brought you this far to leave you. He will not allow you to get into any challenge that He can not save you from.

God is arising on your behalf and nothing can put you down. David said, “He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps.” Psalm 40:2 You may be in a pit so to say, God will lift you and set your feet upon a rock. That pit is not your destiny, get ready to rise and never return there again.

The same spirit that raised Jesus from death lives inside of you. The same forces of darkness that could not keep Jesus in the grave can not keep you in that pit. Sometimes you can be in the storm for so long and forget what it is like to stand up again. Have an attitude of faith, if what you are going through will keep you from God’s destiny, God would not have allowed it.

God gave Joseph a wonderful dream regarding his future. However, his brothers got jealous of him, pulled off his coat of many colours and sold him into slavery. Joseph found himself in Potiphar’s house, while in Potiphar’s house, he was accused wrongly and put into Prison.

While Joseph was in prison, I am sure it was a very discouraging period for him. However, the lord arose over Joseph and the glory of the Lord was seen upon him… God rescued Joseph from prison and made him the second in command in Egypt.

It may be interesting to note that God allowed Joseph’s brothers to take his coat of many colours from him because He had prepared a coat of authority for him in Egypt. As God arose in the life of Joseph, every obstacle, challenge and enemy scattered! (Genesis 37)

When the scripture says “Let God arise, Let His enemies be scattered; Let those also who hate Him flee before Him.” Psalm 68:1. We are also talking about allowing God to arise in your thoughts, and your mind; focus on His power, on what He can do! Nobody can stop God from arising in your life; your business, your family and your heart’s desire except you!

When God arise, things that you could not make happen will happen! Instead of allowing your challenges to consume you, allow God to arise within you. Channel the time and energy spent on worrying into moments of worship and trust in His plan.

You may say that your case is different from that of Joseph! Nobody brought the challenges on you like Joseph rather you brought the challenges upon yourself… Jesus told us a parable of the prodigal son and how he brought the challenges he encountered upon himself…

The prodigal son demanded his inheritance, travelled to a far country and spent everything on riotous living. He was so broke that he started eating with pigs; food meant for pigs became his source of meal… But on a certain day, he came to himself, arose and came back home

“…But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants…”’ (Luke 15:11-32)

The difference between Joseph and the prodigal son is that; Joseph kept on honouring God, living to please God while the prodigal son decided to arise from his fallen state and return home.

The prodigal son says, though I have made mistakes I will arise and return to my father and tell him to forgive me. The Father saw him, had compassion on him and celebrated his returns. He ordered the best robe to be put on him, killed the fastest calve, and said My son was dead and now he is alive.

Stop listening to the accuser, receive forgiveness from God today; God has already forgiven you, Decide to turn a new life and make your commitment to God… get your fire back, get your passion back, you may have lost the coat of many colours but get ready for the robe of authority, influence, favour, blessing and the supernatural.

You may have lost everything you once treasured in your relationship with God, Cheer up, God is going to put on you the best robe and restore you to your first love in Jesus’ name. You shall arise and shine because your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

THE ESSETIALS IN YOUR JOURNEY OF RISING AND SHINING!

In your journey of rising and shining, it is essential to remember that you are not alone. God has provided you with a community of believers who can support and encourage you along the way. Make your commitment to God in a Bible-believing church and seek their guidance and wisdom. Together, you can inspire one another to rise above the challenges and embrace the abundant life that God has given.

Remember, as you rise, do so with humility and grace. Your success should never be a means of pride or arrogance, but rather an opportunity to reflect God’s love and goodness to those around you. Let your light shine in such a way that others are drawn to the hope and peace that you possess.

Be patient in your journey of rising and shining. Rome was not built in a day, and neither will your transformation be instantaneous. Trust in God’s timing and plan for your life. Each step you take towards growth and self-improvement is a step closer to becoming the person God has designed you to be.

Even in moments of discouragement or setbacks, hold onto the promise that God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Lean on Him for strength and guidance, and let His peace watch over you in times of uncertainty.

As you continue to rise and shine, embrace a spirit of gratitude. Take time each day to reflect on the blessings in your life and express your gratitude to God. Gratitude opens the door to more blessings and invites God’s favour into your life.

Finally, as you rise and shine, remember that your purpose extends beyond personal success and happiness. Look for opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of others. Whether through acts of kindness, sharing your talents, or spreading words of encouragement, you have the power to brighten someone else’s day and point them towards the love of God.

You are capable, empowered, and destined for greatness. Embrace the call to rise and shine, for the world awaits the light that only you can bring. Trust in God, walk in faith and never cease to believe in the incredible things that lie ahead. God richly bless you!
