CELEBRATING GOD’S GOODNESS!

We all have some dreams that haven’t yet materialised and challenges that still linger. Although, some progress has been made, a glimpse of God’s favour, yet the blessing remains unfinished. Too often we wait for the final chapter before we show our delight in the Lord by celebrating what He is doing. Scripture says “Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).

Celebrating the goodness of God is a powerful way to cultivate gratitude and joy. It’s about recognising and appreciating the blessings, big and small, in our lives. When we focus on God’s goodness, we shift our perspective from what’s lacking to what’s abundant. We acknowledge that every good thing comes from Him, and that fills our hearts with thankfulness.

The pathway to seeing those desires fulfilled begins with delighting in the Lord and honouring every small step we have made forward in our lives or careers. I mean focusing and appreciating the small wins in life and career, can align us with a positive mindset. It’s about acknowledging progress, no matter how tiny, and finding joy in the journey. God is with you in this journey!

You may still be in debt, but a portion has been cleared, so, delight in the Lord and celebrate His goodness. A health battle persists, yet you have had some days gone by symptom‑free, so, delight in the Lord and celebrate His goodness. A degree is pending, but the course is in progress, delight yourself in the Lord and celebrate God’s goodness. When we truly rejoice in Him, He releases more healing, strength, and favour.

We often fix our gaze on the finish line, missing the miracles already placed along the way. Like the five loaves and two fish that fed 5,000 people excluding women and children (Matthew 14:16‑21), Jesus thanked the Father for the little five loaves of bread and two fish, and they were multiplied. Are you complaining about the modest gain, or are you grateful for it?

When the Israelites rebuilt the temple, they celebrated the goodness of God at the foundations of the building. They took their trumpets and cymbals to celebrate at that stage of the building. (Ezra 3:10‑12). Their joy wasn’t postponed until the whole structure stood; it erupted at the first sign of progress.

So, don’t let the uncompleted dream keep you from delighting in the Lord and celebrating the goodness of God. Celebrate each improvement, trust His timing, and watch how He brings the full victory to pass. Trust God to complete what He started by celebrating every progress and improvement!

As we read in the scripture, the Israelites celebrated the completion of the temple’s foundation with trumpets and joy, despite the walls, roof, and furnishings were not yet available. They chose to delight in the Lord’s faithfulness, focusing on progress, not just completion and celebrate the goodness of God.

When Jonah, trapped in a whale’s belly, he could have given up, but he chose gratitude. “I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise,” he said (Jonah 2:9). He thanked God for sparing his life, and God intervened, commanding the whale to release him.

It’s easy to complain about our circumstances, but God responds to gratitude and celebration of His goodness. When we focus on the good, He adds to it. Jonah’s story shows us that thanking God, even in tough times, can turn situations around.

In Genesis, God declared His work “good” each day, despite it being incomplete. On the sixth day, when creation was finished, He said it was “very good” (Genesis 1:1-31). God’s goodness isn’t just about the result; it’s in every step of the journey.

By celebrating small wins and small improvements, we align ourselves with God’s goodness. We acknowledge His presence and power, even in uncertainty. This mindset shifts our focus from what is lacking to what has been provided and what has been done.

As we delight in the Lord and celebrate His goodness, He brings completion to our stories, just as He did with Jonah and the creation. Our “very good” is coming, let’s celebrate the “good” we have already seen.

Recognising God’s goodness in every stage of life unlocks the best that God has in store for us. Complaining about struggles keeps you stuck, but focusing on progress propels you forward. Don’t wait for perfection to thank God; celebrate small wins, even if unseen by others. Delight in Him and His work in your life.

CELEBRATE EVERY LITTLE PROGRESS

Don’t wait for completion or perfection to thank God. Celebrate small steps forward, even if no one else sees what God is doing. Delight in Him and celebrate His work. The enemy wants to discourage you, highlighting flaws and weaknesses. But say, “I may not be perfect, but Jesus is my perfection!” Who you are is determined by your heavenly Father.

You may not be where you want to be, but thank God you are not where you used to be. You are growing, coming up higher. Delighting in the Lord and celebrating every progress in your journey.

Don’t wait for completion to delight in the Lord; you may miss the joy of the Lord. Find the good in you and the improvements. Thank God for that good, and His hand will be more evident in your life.

You are not a finished product; you are a work in progress. Focus on the good, and God will take you to “very good.” Celebrate the progress He has made in your life so far!

As we celebrate God’s goodness, we are reminded of His promises. We are reminded that He is a God who forgives, heals, and redeems (Psalm 103:2-4). We are reminded that He is a God who is always near, always listening, and always answering (Psalm 145:18).

So, how do we celebrate God’s goodness? We do it through prayer, worship, and thanksgiving. We do it by sharing our stories, singing His praises, and declaring His goodness to others. We do it by living a life that honours Him, reflecting His love and character to a world that needs it.

Celebrating God’s goodness is a journey that requires faith, trust, and a willingness to acknowledge His presence in our lives. It’s willful, intentional, and a decision to focus on the good, even in the midst of challenges.

When we celebrate God’s goodness, we acknowledge His sovereignty, love, and care for us. We recognise that He is always working for our good, even when we can’t see it (Romans 8:28). We remember His faithfulness, mercy, and kindness, and we give Him thanks.

Celebrating God’s goodness also means embracing His presence in our lives. It means acknowledging His guidance, provision, and protection. It means trusting that He is always with us, even in the darkest moments (Psalm 23:4).

As you celebrate God’s goodness, may you be filled with joy, peace, and hope. May you be reminded of His love and care for you, and may you be encouraged to trust Him more. May your heart be filled with gratitude, and may your life be a reflection of His goodness. I decree and declare that goodness will continue to grow in your life and prevail in Jesus’ name.

May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you peace.
