GOD’S INTERVENTIONS!

When we think of God’s intervention we think of when God suddenly turns things around like Jesus touched the blind man and instantly his eyes were open but not all God’s interventions are instantaneous. One such example is God’s intervention in Egypt when the Israelites were in bondage. It started the day Moses was born. I mean 80 years before it happened. (Exodus 2:1-10, 3 & Jeremiah 1:4-5)

Sometimes we pray and believe God for something but things are not turning around the way we expected. Our health isn’t improving, our dream isn’t coming to pass, and we think, “God where are you? Why are you not doing something?”

We don’t realize that God is doing something, part of His intervention is that He is sustaining us; He is not letting the opposition take us out. He is pushing back the forces of darkness. He is keeping you from getting discouraged, bitter, and giving up while enjoying unexplainable rest within you.

God’s intervention can be at work behind the scenes but you can’t always see it. One day you will look back and think, “How did I make it through that season? How did I raise this difficult child? He should have driven me crazy. How did I not get bitter over that breakup? How did I have the strength to survive those people who were against me?”

God didn’t deliver you from it but He gave you the grace to go through it. Without His intervention; a hand of protection, favour and blessing, you wouldn’t be where you are today. And yes, we all love instantaneous interventions. I believe in that, but it’s no less of an intervention when God takes you through what should have taken you out.

The scripture says that the Israelites were in the desert for 40 years yet their clothes never wore out and their shoes never got old. How could that be? Beyond any reasonable doubt that wasn’t natural but the supernatural works of God. (Deuteronomy 29:5)

Every morning in the desert they had food to eat; manna, something like bread which appeared on the ground. They never missed a meal. They weren’t trained to live in the desert, they didn’t have any survival skills but they survived. They faced armies and bandits that had more weapons, and more expertise but against all odds the Israelites defeated them.

You can look back over your life and see times when you should have been overwhelmed. You should have gotten stuck after that challenging period, you should have given up on your dream after that closed door but somehow you kept going… You believed anyway, hold on in faith and you saw new doors open. You had the grace to forgive and outlast the trouble.

You couldn’t see it then but you were in the middle of God’s interventions. God was sustaining you. Without His strength, without His mercy, without His favour, you wouldn’t have made it to where you are. God may not have delivered you from that fire, but you can see how He made you fireproof.

How many times in our lives did it look like it was over, the opposition was closing in? We didn’t see a way out, the sickness seemed too strong, the addiction too great, then God stepped in and turned it around, protected us, provided for us, pushed back the opposition, and made ways where we did not see a way.

You can’t always see God’s intervention in your life… Things may still be uncomfortable, there may still be opposition, and you feel like God has forgotten about you but behind the scenes, He is holding back what should have defeated you. He is protecting you from what should have taken you out.

He may take you through some desert seasons, you thought you would be in the Promised Land by now but have you noticed? Your shoes haven’t worn out, He made provision available. Those enemies; that sickness seem stronger and bigger but they couldn’t defeat you.

GOD IS IN CHARGE!

God’s angels are watching over you. That closed door, the delay or the disappointment should have caused you to get bitter and discouraged but look at you: still believing, praising God for your life, expecting things to change and continuing to be good to others because you know within you that God is in charge.

The state of your mind is not natural, you didn’t just decide to have a good attitude or to be hopeful, that is God’s intervention; the Most High God breathing into your life, empowering you to stand strong so you can reach your destiny.

You can keep a good perspective about issues around you, “Lord, thank you for sustaining me. Thank you for the grace for this season. Lord, I recognize your intervention; holding back the opposition, giving me the power to endure and not letting this adversity finish me off”.

God said “Even to your old age, I am He, And even to gray hairs, I will carry you! I have made, and I will bear; Even I will carry, and will deliver you” In your old age God says He will sustain you. You are not doing life on your own. I know sometimes it gets challenging, that is when behind the scenes God’s intervention comes in to sustain us. (Isaiah 46:4)

He may not keep you from every challenge or opposition but I can assure you, He has made you strong enough to stand strong. The enemy is not in control of your life, God is. He wouldn’t have let you get into that challenging situation unless it was leading you to a new level of your destiny. It cannot finish you off. You are going to come out without a bruise

Now, when you are tempted to get discouraged, look back over your life: you have a history with God. Think about all the times He made a way and gave you strength when you didn’t think you could go on. He provided when you least expected and protected you against forces that were way too much to handle

He hasn’t brought you this far to leave you. Where you are, even till your old age, till your last breath He is going to keep sustaining you. Stay in peace as you trust Him that you are in the middle of His intervention concerning that issue!

I decree and declare that right now God is lifting burdens, lighting loads off your shoulders. You are about to feel a supernatural strength, a power to outlive, a courage to overcome and a favour that propels you into your purpose. God’s intervention is taking over your case in Jesus’s name.

The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’!
