We all face challenges at one point or the other in our lives that look overwhelming. It’s easy to get discouraged, feel alone and even feel helpless. The word of the Lord says, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’’ Isaiah 41:10
God’s word identifies with every helpless situation we may be going through… It has an account of different people who went through helpless situations and how the help of God intervened on their behalf. One such account in the Bible was about King David. He hid in caves and pretended to be mad to escape death. King Saul had a whole army coming after him to kill him, and David was by himself. He felt discouraged, alone and helpless. (1 Samuel 21:10-15)
What is up against you like King David may be bigger, stronger or closing in but what you can’t see are the supernatural forces from above surrounding what surrounds you. It may feel like that challenge is getting the upper hand but help from above will show up. Irrespective of how long that situation has lingered, God’s help will show up for you.
You might think that the help you are expecting is getting too late, that the ship you are trying to catch up with has already sailed and left you behind… Sometimes God will wait on purpose, making the odds seem against us, so that when He acts, everyone will know that it was God’s help and His favour in our lives that made the difference.
What made David’s case interesting was that he had done nothing wrong to King Saul; he had been good to King Saul. He played the harp when Saul was depressed… He was Saul’s armour-bearer. Notwithstanding, Saul became jealous and couldn’t stand the favour on David’s life. So, he was making David’s life miserable and wanted him dead.
Have you ever been good to someone but they turned against you? You did your best to make things better but people tried to push you down. You worked hard for a dream, but something unfair happened. Now you feel stuck. David could have been bitter and angry. God, why did this happen? My commitment, trust and faith in you are unmatched so I don’t deserve these challenges in my life.
The interesting part of our faith is that it doesn’t keep us from challenges, but when challenges show up, help from above will also be there to respond on our behalf. God dispatch angels to watch over you, protect you, and push back the work of darkness.
However, if you stay focused on what you can see physically, you may get discouraged. In the case of David, he understood that he wasn’t fighting alone and that it wasn’t just up to him but help from above. He had seen this when he faced Goliath. He didn’t have a chance and the odds were against him but help from God came through for him. God empowered his slingshot with supernatural ability and he brought the giant down.
Also, David should have been stuck out in the shepherd’s field, where his father left him, when the prophet Samuel came to choose one of the sons as the next king. David was overlooked, left out, and didn’t have a fair shot, but help from above located him in the shepherd’s field… The oil wouldn’t flow to one of the other sons; Samuel couldn’t anoint them. (1 Samuel 16:1-13)
Why is that? Help from above was making way for King David and is making way for you also… These are the Angels God has assigned to assist you. What you are up against may be too much for you but these Angels will push back what is trying to stop you. They are dispatched with healing, freedom, and breakthroughs.
When you run out of options and don’t have the strength or the experience, you could live worried… Hold onto this new perspective. Help from above is enforced on your behalf; miracles are being set into motion for you. Instead of giving up, why don’t you look up? Help from above is available for you. You are God’s most prized possession. He chose you before you could choose Him.
He has planned your life, ordered your steps, and crowned you with favour. He goes before you, making crooked places straight. He has His angels watching over you; you are not doing life on your own. All of heaven is fighting for you. When you can’t figure out what to do or how it will work out, that’s when you have to do like David.
It’s okay to be honest: God, this child is breaking my heart. This medical report doesn’t look good. This person is getting on my nerves but God, I want to thank You that Your help is making the difference. You are fighting my battles, sustaining me, protecting me and bringing victory to me. The scripture says, I will lift my eyes to the heavens from whence my help comes. (Psalm 121)
WHEN THERE IS NO WAY OUT!

At the point when it seems as if we don’t have any good options… I mean when there is no way out, the help of God will come to our rescue. You are God’s property. You belong to the Most High. He has you in the palm of His hand. He is not going to leave you defenceless. When it looks like you are stuck, God doesn’t stay silent. Angels are dispatched and miracles are set into motion.
God is fighting for you. Turnarounds are coming. Things that you couldn’t make happen. It looks like you are at the mercy of the medical report, that child is too far off course now, the addiction is too strong but stay in peace. You have a Defender, a Way Maker, a Healer, a Provider, and a Chain Breaker. Help from above is at your rescue.
Sometimes in life, we are dealing with sickness, family challenges, or business setbacks, and we end up bruised and kind of feel alone. We are suffering from battle fatigue. We have stood strong and fought well, but now we don’t think we have the strength to keep pursuing the dream, the passion to keep fighting for our marriage or tired of giving another person a chance or the endurance to keep believing in our healing.
The sickness should have taken you out but help from above came to your rescue. Those challenges would have kept you in debt but help from above came to your rescue. That family member running with the wrong crowd should not have survived it but help from above was made available. Backup forces are headed your way, angels with the favour of God on assignment to assist you, to strengthen you and to fight for you.
If you could see into the unseen realm, you would see angels working on your behalf, pushing back what’s trying to stop you, breaking through what belongs to you. When thoughts tell you, No, you are stuck. It’s too much. You are too tired. You have fought too long, just look up and say, Father, thank you that your help for me is enforced! Thank you for the right people showing up for me, freedom from bondage, and generational limitations being broken.
What do I mean? When you don’t see a way out, help from above will be made available for you. God knows how to speak to the right people. He knows how to keep you hidden from the enemy, how to rescue you, and how to turn your sickness around. He knows how to open doors that you couldn’t open. Maybe you are in a situation. You have prayed. You have stood in faith, but it hasn’t worked out.
You are tempted to think you are stuck, that you will always be lonely, have family issues, or can’t get out of that financial strain. I have good news: help from above is responding to your case. Backup is on the way. Reinforcements are already on the way. Things you can’t explain, favours you didn’t deserve, healing that confounds the experts, breakthroughs when it looks permanent and the right people suddenly locating you.
It may look like that situation will never turn around, that nothing is improving. Can I remind you again that there is help from above for you? God has heard your prayers. He sees you standing in faith, doing the right thing, and angels are on assignment right now, dispatched with your healing, your freedom, your spouse and your desired result.
Now, do your part and keep thanking God that His help has been made available for you and also working for you! I decree and declare that help from above will locate you; your healing, provision, and the fullness of your destiny are manifesting, in Jesus’ name.
“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”
