God plans to bless us abundantly and empower us to bless others from His overflow (Psalm 23:5). He is the God of abundance, not scarcity. That is why we must align our thoughts with the truth of God’s word. You can’t cultivate a mindset of lack and expect to experience abundance. He assures us of His abundance by telling us to: “Ask of Him, and He will give us the nations for our inheritance, and the ends of the earth for our possession“. (Psalm 2:8)
It is easy for a person who has gone through serious challenges for a long time and has barely made ends meet to develop a limited mindset; thinking they will never live in abundance, never get resources to execute their vision or never have enough to send their kids to the university.
You may be in a place where you barely have enough for yourself or your family, please, refuse to stay there. God is called El Shaddai; the God of more than enough. Not the God of barely enough, not the God of just help me make it through or let me live off the leftovers. No, the God of overflow, the God of abundance and the God of plenty.
The scripture says, “Let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified, who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His children.'” Psalm 35:27. We were supposed to go around and constantly say “God takes pleasure in prospering us”. Confessing it will help us develop the mindset of abundance.
Your life is moving toward what you are constantly thinking about, and if you are always thinking thoughts of lack, not enough, or struggle, you are moving toward the wrong things. No, all through the day, meditate on these thoughts, “Overflow, abundance and plenty. Tell yourself, God takes pleasure in prospering me”.
Now, you may be in the land of barely enough right now. You don’t know how you are going to make it through this year. Don’t worry, God hasn’t forgotten about you. God clothes the lilies of the field. He feeds the birds of the air. He is going to take care of you.
You may be in the land of just enough. Your needs are supplied, and you are grateful but there is nothing extra, nothing to accomplish your dreams. God is saying, “I did not breathe my life into you to live in the land of barely enough”. I didn’t create you to live in the land of just enough. I created you to live in overflow, more than enough, plenty and abundance.
Keep reminding yourself, “God takes pleasure in prospering you. You are the head and never the tail”. The scripture says, “God will supply our needs according to His riches” (Philippians 4:19) So often we look at our situations and think, I will never get abundance. No, it’s not according to what you have, it’s according to what God has.
The good news is God owns it all. One touch of God’s favour can take you out of barely enough and put you into more than enough. God has ways to increase you beyond your normal income, beyond your salary and beyond what is predictable.
Now, quit telling yourself, “This is all I will ever have. My grandfather was broke. My Mom and Daddy didn’t have enough” Let go of all that and have an abundant mentality. Tell yourself, this is not where I’m going to stay, I’m blessed, I’m prosperous. I’m destined to have an overflow, live in plenty and have more than enough”. The scripture says, “Is there anything too hard for the Lord”? Jeremiah 32:27. There is no telling what God will do if you change your mindset about who you are.
Receive this into your spirit, God is bringing you into a spacious land, a land of more than enough, a land of plenty of room, a land that is flowing with an increase, flowing with God’s favour, flowing with opportunity, where you not only have plenty enough to live on but plenty enough to be a blessing to many around you and beyond.
“Well,” you may say, “Pastor, are you one of those prosperity ministers? Firstly, I don’t like the use of those words. It sounds like somebody who only talks about finances. Prosperity to me is having good health. It’s having peace of mind. It’s being able to sleep at night without worries, and having good relationships. There are many things that money cannot buy, and I don’t like the term “Prosperity minister,” because I am not a poverty minister.
I can’t find one place in the scripture where we are supposed to drag around not having enough, not being able to afford what we want, living off the leftovers, and living in the land of not enough. No, we were created to be the head and not the tail.
MAKING ABUNDANCE POSSIBLE!

Jesus came that we might live an abundant life. (John 10:10) We represent almighty God here on this earth. We should be examples of His goodness, so blessed, so prosperous, so generous, and so full of joy that other people want to enjoy what we are enjoying.
It may not come easy because you have to fight a religious spirit that says you are supposed to be poor, broke, and defeated to show God that you are humble. No, being poor, broke, and defeated is never proof of humility, and they don’t bring any honour to God. Listen, when you look good, dress well, live in a nice place, excel in your career, generous with others, that brings a smile to God’s face. It pleases Him to prosper you.
There is something inside of us that says we are supposed to be blessed. We are supposed to live an abundant life; It’s because we are children of the God of Abundance. The hunger to be blessed was put there by our Creator… Here is the key, you must permit God to prosper you.
You can’t go around with a lack mentality, thinking, I will just take the leftovers to show everyone how humble I am. After all, God wouldn’t want me to have too much. That is being greedy, that would be selfish”. No, get rid of that false sense of humility; it’s going to keep you from an abundant life.
We think, “Is it wrong for me to want to live in a nice house, and drive a nice car? Is it wrong to want funds to accomplish my dreams, or wrong to want to leave an inheritance for my children”? God is saying, “It’s not wrong. I take pleasure in prospering you”. If it was wrong to have resources, abundance, and wealth, what would God have chosen Abraham to start the new covenant with?
Abraham is called the father of our faith, and the scripture says “Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold” (Genesis 13:2) He had more livestock, more cattle, and more possessions than anyone else. He was the Bill Gates of his day. God could have chosen anyone but He chose Abraham, a man extremely blessed.
David left billions of dollars for his son to build the temple. David is called a man after God’s own heart. Get rid of that thinking that God wouldn’t want me to have too much, that wouldn’t be right, that might not look good. No, it’s just the opposite. When you look good, it makes God look good. When you are blessed, prosperous, and successful, it brings you honour and also brings honour to God.
I realised long ago that anything I received in overflow or abundance, has always come from where I least expected or where I never expected at all. It’s evidence of God releasing His abundance on me. Abundance or overflow is never what man can give rather it’s what only God can give.
The scripture says, “It is the Lord who gives you power to get wealth”(Deuteronomy 8:18). God wouldn’t give you the power to do something and then condemn you for doing it. There is nothing wrong with you having money, the key is not to let money have you. Don’t let it become the focus of your life. Don’t seek the provision, seek the provider. Money is simply a tool to accomplish your destiny and to advance His kingdom.
I have big dreams in my heart. It’s going to take millions of dollars to do what is on the inside, and these are dreams not just for myself, a dream to build prayer camps in different countries, a dream to build accommodations for families who will come from other countries to spend time together as a family in the prayer camp. I can’t do that with a limited or lacking mentality, God wants me to have a more than enough mentality.
I realise my father owns it all. He makes streets out of gold. You are not going to bankrupt heaven by believing in an abundant life. All God has to do is go pick up some pavement and give it to you.
And when you have this abundant mentality, you have the desire to advance the kingdom, God will lavish you with good things. He will open up the windows of heaven, where you not only accomplish your dreams but also help you to be a blessing to the world.
My prayer for you is found in Deuteronomy 1:11. It says, “God has even promised to bless us a thousand times more, and I pray that he will” (CEV). Can you receive that into your spirit? 1,000 times more favour, 1,000 times more resources, 1,000 times more income!
It’s time to get rid of a lack mentality. God is giving you abundance, plenty enough to live on and be a blessing to the nations of the earth. He is making room for more of His increase. Now, get up every morning, and say, “Lord, I want to thank you that you are opening up the abundance of heaven on me. You are raining down a favour, lavishing me with good things and abundance.
If you receive this message of abundance, I decree and declare that you won’t live in the land of just enough, nor the land of barely enough in 2026 and beyond, but you will come into the land of more than enough, overflow, good health, and abundant life in Jesus’ name.
May the Lord bless you and keep you; may the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift His countenance upon you and give you peace.
