If you are like me, you have probably had moments of challenges and opposition, when people let you down, or when the ground seemed to shift beneath your feet. Maybe you have even wondered if anything in this world is truly reliable. But over the years, I have discovered a truth that is more steady than anything else I know: that is God’s faithfulness. Not just occasionally, not just when it’s easy, but always, even when everything else seems to be falling apart.
When I talk about God’s faithfulness, I am not speaking from a distance or just quoting Bible verses. I am talking about something real, something you can experience for yourself. The Bible says in Lamentations 3:22–23, “Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” That means every single day, no matter how yesterday went, God’s mercy and love are fresh and ready for you.
Sometimes, it’s easier to see God’s faithfulness in the lives of people from the past. Take Abraham, for example, a man called by God to leave everything familiar and believe he would be the father of a great nation, even when he was nearly a hundred years old. Imagine the doubts, the long nights, and the questions he and Sarah must have had. Yet, God kept His promise. Against all odds, they had a son. I find comfort in that story because it tells me God’s promises don’t have expiration dates. Even when we struggle or wait longer than we would like, He is still working.
Or think about the Israelites, stuck in slavery for centuries. If you have ever felt forgotten or trapped by your circumstances, you might relate to this. Yet, God remembered them. He parted the sea, guided them through the wilderness, and provided food from the sky. He never stopped caring, even when they doubted Him. Many people can see themselves in this story sometimes: impatient, questioning, but still carried by God’s relentless love.
King David’s journey is another reminder. He was promised a lasting legacy, and even though his story had its share of detours and mistakes, God stayed true. Eventually, through David’s family line, Jesus, the ultimate sign of God’s faithfulness, came into the world. When I look at David, I remember that even in our failures or when life takes a turn, God’s plans are bigger than our failures.
And then there is Jesus. For me, it all comes down to Him. Through Jesus, God showed there is nothing He won’t do to keep His word. Every promise God ever made is fulfilled in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). His birth, His life, His willingness to die and rise again – it’s all proof that God isn’t distant or indifferent. He loves us enough to get involved, to walk with us, to save us. That is a faithfulness I can build my life on.
And even now, God hasn’t left us on our own. Jesus promised the Holy Spirit, a real living presence who comforts, guides, and strengthens us. I can’t tell you how many times I have felt peace I couldn’t explain or received an insight at just the right moment. If you have ever felt that gentle nudge or quiet reassurance, I believe that’s God, close and attentive, reminding you that you are never alone.
Testimonies of Faith!

Allow me to share some real-life testimonies because I think we need to hear more of how God’s faithfulness plays out in the challenging and beautiful period of life. You may relate very well to some of these testimonies and get encouraged about God’s faithfulness in every aspect of your life!
Sarah, a single mom from Nigeria, once shared how she had nothing left to feed her kids. She remembered the verse, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). The very next day, a neighbour she barely knew brought her food, saying she felt compelled to help. “God provided in my lowest moment,” Sarah said. “He is truly faithful.” I love testimonies like this because they remind me that God cares about every small thing.
I read about a pastor in the U.S. called John. He was facing a serious illness, stuck in bed with little hope from the doctors. However, his church prayed, and over time, he recovered, so much so the doctors were surprised. Pastor John’s words stuck with me: “God’s faithfulness was my anchor during that storm.” I think a lot of brethren have been there, maybe not with illness, but with situations that felt hopeless, until suddenly, hope broke through.
Maria from the Philippines lost her husband and felt a loneliness that words can hardly describe. However, God met her in her grief. She clung to the promise that God’s mercies are new every morning. “Through the pain, God’s faithfulness gave me strength to go on, and He sent people to support me. He never left me.” If you have ever felt like you couldn’t go on, maybe Maria’s story gives you a little hope, too.
Raj, in India, was at a crossroads in his career. He prayed, trusted God, and was surprised by the opportunities that opened up doors he never could have forced open himself. “His faithfulness guided my steps,” he said. Sometimes, God’s faithfulness looks like a new job, a chance you didn’t see coming, or a sense of peace in the waiting.
Honestly, you don’t have to look far to find these testimonies. Maybe you have your own moments when things looked bleak, but somehow, things changed. Sometimes, it’s not a big miracle. Sometimes, it’s a quiet reassurance, a friend’s text at just the right time, or the strength to keep going when you thought you couldn’t. All these are threads in the tapestry of God’s faithfulness.
What I have learnt is this: remembering God’s faithfulness gives us courage for the future. Whenever I am anxious or unsure, I try to recall the times He has come through for me. Hebrews 13:5–6 is a promise I hold close: “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” That means you and I are never abandoned, even when we feel alone.
If you are in a challenging moment right now, I want to encourage you to write down every small way you have seen God’s hand in your life. Share those testimonies with someone you trust, because we all need reminders. Our challenges don’t disqualify us from God’s love; in fact, they are often where we see Him most clearly.
And here is the best part: God’s faithfulness isn’t just about getting us through the day. It’s about giving us hope for eternity. Our relationship with Him doesn’t rest on us never failing; it rests on Him never failing. 1 Thessalonians 5:24 says it all: “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.” Even if you feel like you are barely hanging on, know this: God is still holding you.
There is a hymn I grew up singing that says,
“Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!”
Those words are not just lyrics, they are my testimonies, and maybe yours too.
Life can sometimes be unpredictable and overwhelming, with its ups and downs, twists and turns. One moment you are celebrating victories, and the next, you are facing challenges that make you question everything. But in all these moments, God’s faithfulness is constant. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
So wherever you are today, whether you are on a mountaintop or in a valley, whether you are full of faith or struggling to believe, God’s faithfulness remains. Don’t be afraid to lean on Him, to ask for help or to believe He cares about every little detail of your life.
When you are in the valley, feeling low and uncertain, He is there to lift you up. When you are on the mountaintop, feeling elated and grateful, He is there to remind you of His goodness. His faithfulness is not dependent on your circumstances; it’s rooted in His unchanging nature. He is our Rock, our Refuge, and our Saviour. So come to Him with confidence, knowing He is faithful.
Don’t let your current situation define your faith. Instead, let God’s faithfulness shape your perspective. Trust that He is working all things together for your good, even when you can’t see it… I decree and declare, may your actions and your decisions lead you to experience more of God’s faithfulness in Jesus’ name.
Let’s say this prayer:
God, thank You for never letting go. Help us to remember Your faithfulness, even when we can’t see the way forward. Give us courage, surround us with love, and open our eyes to the ways You are working. Remind us we are never alone, and let our lives become testimony of Your unfailing goodness. Amen
